On September 23, 2017, Wayne did a Power Point presentation about the founding of SUNY Geneseo as  a site for a New York Normal School, as part of the college's Family Weekend and Homecoming.

On June 20, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. Wayne did a presentation based on his book, Alexander "Fighting Elleck" Hays at the Livingston County Civil War Round Table.

February 14, 2019 Wayne will do a talk titled "How I Began Frittering Time Away: Or How I Learned About the Legendary ScytheTree" at the Torch Club in Geneseo.


Wayne has given presentations at the Chicago, Milwaukee, Buffalo and Rochester Civil War Round Tables, New York State Historical Society, Chautauqua Institution, Researching New York Conference (Albany, New York), Glenn Curtiss Museum, the Capital District (NY) Civil War Round Table and Hamilton College.
